What is the purpose of a butt plug?

Butt plug harness
As you know, I like to be in control of things. This particularly applies to my slave’s butt, of course. To make sure that the plug comes out only when I say so, I like to combine it with a harness. We own a set with leather straps and a metal ring. The plug goes in the butt, the cock and balls through the metal ring, and the straps are fastened around the waist. The harness can be licked. Meaning: if the straps are tight enough, there is literally no way of getting the harness off and the plug out unless I open the locks.
Vibrating butt plug

How long can you wear a butt plug?
There are different opinions as to how long it is comfortable and safe to wear a butt plug. The usual advice is:
- Take it easy (generall a good advice for anal play!). Make your slave get used to it slowly, and increase the wearing period over time.
- An often-heard recommendation is not to wear it longer than 2–3 hours. However, there is no real basis for that number. My slave has spent plenty of nights plugged (and even cock caged at the same time).
- The longer the slave wears it, the less comfortable it gets. You might want to re-apply lube from time to time. Depending on his behavior, of course.
